How To Install Windows 10
Windows 10 the latest and greatest operating system from Microsoft. After the windows 8 and windows 8.1, windows 10 comes with the biggest change that they ever made on their previous version of windows. windows 10 has the feature that windows 7 has. you can see start button again made its way to windows 10. It can change however you wants to see it. the metro UI that introduced with windows 8 play here too. you can make a choice in settings.
windows 10 installation is simple. it can be installed the way their previous versions would. the difference is it asks you the product key before the installation begins. after the installation PC restarts and then it takes you to settings. you have to make sure something here before proceeding to further. don't simply click on express setting, go to customize then off the things that you don't want.
ok! here I'm taking the detailed steps to install windows 10
before proceeding make sure you backed up all your important data.
if you already completed this step then let's go to next,
prepare the installation disc that you already have, insert the disc in the DVD drive, press the power key of your system, press the designated bios key or boot order key. for more information about the BIOS, key check the booklet or contact manufacturer of your system.
I don't want to talk much about the bios thing here but you need it. so I'm going to continue the steps now. ok! next select the boot order. DVD as the 1st boot order then press enter. after that, the one important thing I'm mentioning here is bios mode. there are two modes, one is UEFI(Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) and another is BIOS. the latest PC's all comes with two modes one is bios, which is called legacy bios in the UEFI. UEFI is BIOS itself that comes with advanced features. but BIOS rely on MBR partition scheme and UEFI on GPT partition scheme. MBR holds only four partitions whereas GPT can hold up to 128 partitions. but make sure which one you want.
Now press any key to continue... after that select which architecture you wants to install, 32 bit or 64 bit. Nowadays almost all PC's comes with 64 bit. you can run 32 bit OS on 64 bit CPU but you cannot run 64 bit OS on 32 bit CPU. now select the architecture. it will take you to graphical installation.
now select the language then proceed to next. unlike the previous version of windows, the product key is asked after the installation is complete but in windows 10 the product key asked before the installation, so make sure you are ready with your product key. for those who have no product key they need not worry about that, Microsoft knows better. they provide a link below the activation window called "I don't have a product key" click on that and then the proceed to next.
The next step is the installer asks you to upgrade or custom(advanced). upgrade means if you already running the previous version of windows, no data will be deleted and the system upgrades to a newer version. custom means it's a clean installation, all the data that previous version of windows has is deleted. you have to reinstall the apps that you need. here I recommend clean installation that makes system stable and crash free. then proceed to next.
Now you have to make sure on which partition you wants to install windows 10, if you have not yet done any partition previously or if you have a new PC then create one and select that partition then click next, the windows 10 installation begins now. this takes time, wait until the installation complete.
System going to restart now. finally, it welcomes you by saying "hello". it does not directly take you to the desktop instead shows settings, here you have to make sure it relates to your privacy. don't simply click on express settings. go to customize, you will see different settings that dictate what kind of data to be sent to Microsoft. if that seems not good for you simply click on the switch to off that.
it is time to name your PC. name it as you like it. then click on next. that takes you to the fully redefined desktop. hurray!! you have successfully installed windows 10. enjoy!!
